Chris wondered this evening if Terry would leave him the Breakfast show in TW's Will if CE was good. However, he said he did not want to go back to breakfast shows because by 4pm you feel you are on drugs. Interesting! Does that explain things? _________________ Over the hill they came....the greatest Army in the World.....The Tartan Army |

Judging by the webcam picture today he only just managed to make this evenings show in time so how would he get up at 5:30 in the morning?
Could be Mr W might has signed a new contract and Chris is just saying he dosen't want it, or heaven help us Mr W won't sign a new contract yet and Chris is saying he dosen't want the gig to try and get more money.
We'll just have to wait and see. |

He won't get it Mark, he's not high profile enough. No malice intended there either, I hope Richard gets something on radio 2 but as he's been removed from the website I doubt it. |

At least this put the record straight. All along we knew he's got the T-Shirt and wouldn't wear it again.
Now lets try to throw in another person into Terry's chair without him in it. |

What a wonderful thought. You could be controller with a mentality like that. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I like it.
Kenny Everett would have liked that format too.
The listeners phone in to vote a DJ out, he's ejected through the ceiling and another is thrown into the seat from stage right... |

Of course he wants it. The R2 Breakfast Show is the pinnacle of UK radio. He wants it alright....... desperately. He has everything to prove to his peers.
God help the listeners though!

Not so sure that he does. He has enough money already & presume he is not overly keen on 4 am starts again. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I'll put hard-earned cash on the table that if (when) Wogan's retirement is announced, Evans' name will be mentioned as his successor. All this "I don't want the job" nonsense is just playing the PR game.

Oh, it'll be mentioned alright, but I can't see it actually coming true. CE doesn't like the early mornings. We'll either get JW or someone parachuted in from another station - although I'd like to see it, I just can't envisage LD giving RA the job. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
