I must admit that I was unimpressed with the choice of music up to 8am, and the roll call was naff

I enjoyed listening to Johnnie but I too was suprised to say the least at some of the music he has been playing. Still I don't suppose he is picking it is he.

I must admit to preferring young JW to old Terry (TW's music and also his aimless wittering drives me increasingly nuts) but I agree that the formulaic music was enough to make me switch off this morning.

I much preferred it when JW was accompanied by Sally Traffic in the mornings. It's not working at the mo.

Even JW's biggest fan (Mr. Sailyour, no less!) is disappointed, and that's saying something!

I'm surprised the station didn't move sally to mornings and bobby and lynn to afternoons? I think Sally isn't working alongside Steve and Chris?

I only heard the first 35 minutes or so this morning, I enjoyed JW & the music; don't think Bobby liked being called BP though. Don't know why not, it's 150 years since his birth and the centenary of Scouting this year.

At least he didn't think she was a guy. Perhaps he doesn't get to talk to very many women these days Wink

Sarah started that, trying to find a shorter letters / word than Bobby P.

I hear Johnnie was trying to get more of a profile out of her this morning, what she's been doing over the years, why know one can find her profile on any of the website. YET!! Wink

Johnnie has more of a relaxing breakfast show. I think it's a type of show the listeners would like now. I think Tels show could be moved to a Sunday slot with the emails etc, keeping the togs interacting with him still? Just an idea

Very Happy

I'm not sure Terry would want to work on a Sunday, unless he pre records it of course. Laughing

I like Johnnie but would he want the job full time? probably not. I would be happy for him to replace Terry when the time comes though.

I would love JW to take over breakfast, but I understand he retired the first time in 1995 and again when he gave up drive. He's in his 60's and is not short of a bob or two, and so sadly I don't think he would want it

Having given up the Drivetime show I doubt he'd want the very early starts a 'breakfast show' would mean.

After all he's only a few years younger than TW. I think JW is just a stand in whilst TW is in post, not a future replacement

Tis a shame IMHO because he does a good breakfast show (bit of a laugh, not too serious and of his lovely smooth voice). No doubt we will end up with some clown; brand, evans, ross et al.

A better choice of music this morning - Moody Blues to get us started. I am still not convinced by the roll call, howver.

Have a look when Ken comes on, the view you get of his studio these days should show her face.

She doesn't look too happy.... body language is all wrong, too. Maybe she just doesn't like Ken.

I'm sure Nat would have the job instead if Bobbie's fed up, although the travel news would then probably be unintelligible due to drooling. Smile

She might electrocute herself drooling over a live desk. It might make Ken's hair stand up. Laughing

I certainly will general, when I can listen, must try and get those long distance jobs that take at least an hour and a half driving to get there! Half managed it this morning and same tomorrow, I really enjoyed what I heard this morning, the boy done good. Was it my imagination or was there a little more rapport between Johnnie & Bobby this morning? Wink
