I meant to post this earlier in the week but forgot. When I read in the Sunday Times that Stuart would be doing a book signing at Waterstones in Bury tomorrow Sat 31st March at 4.30, I thought they must have got the time wrong or that Stuart wasn't doing the show tomorrow.

Well tonight he confirmed that he will be in Bury for the book signing and on the radio as well! No times were mentioned but the 6 degrees of separation should be interesting......

It's a long way from Birmingham to Bury!

Someone did post somewhere that they thought it was recorded a while back so maybe it's true.

The Freak Zone is definitely recorded, because one week it failed to start off properly and they had to fill in withother music.

I suppose this is why there is now no live webcam for Stuart's Saturday show as we might be treated to a view of an empty studio with the lights off just like we increasingly are for the Dermot O'Leary & Russell brand shows.

Does a program being recorded matter that much? I don't think so, it's not like he does it all the time is it, besides it's hardly a mortal sin.

As long as something's not being passed off as live, I don't have too much of a problem with it (unless of course it's SW)....

No sure who's getting in a paddy, not me that's for sure! I read something last Sunday which made me wonder what was happening then, heard Stuart say he was to be at the book signing so posted on here, hardly getting in a paddy.....

My main concern with a pre-rec prog is that people are STILL encouraged to waste their time and ring in for comps and the like AND 'e-mails' and 'texts' are being read out on subjects given. Does the producer write 'em?!

"Julian and Sandy are decorating in Stoke Poges today and getting very bored with it" or some such correspondence Stu read out today, among others. Oh, no they're bloody not! I shouted at the radio. And how would you know, you're in Waterstones!

Just say it's on a bloody tape this week and get over it. Wouldn't the punters rather have an honest tape than a dishonest (ahem) 'live' broadcast?

Yes and my coments were because you were attacking people for talking about a radio show on a radio forum.

Plus it has been pre-recorded before while Stuart was on holidays. There was even a thread here about how the quiz was recorded on a Thursday.

I dont actually care whether he pre-records or not as long as he doesnt try to mislead people.

I think he should say it's been recorded, but to be fair there was no Ground Sound and I didn't once hear him give out the text or e-mail addresses.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, the Clive Anderson bit at the start seemed to me to be a subtle introduction to the fact that the programme was pre-recorded without, er, actually stating so....
