Hmm... ok I suppose, but no great shakes and nothing we haven't heard before and they only go to highlight how much more Danny Baker can get out of interactive radio, if only Douglas would give the poor sod a Bank Holiday break!

(Incidentally, why can no presenter. Not even some of the regulars, say the bloody text number right! It's 'Eighty eight TWO ninety one' NOT 'Eighty eight TO ninety one' !!!)

Ten grand a show I remind you!

Evil or Very Mad

Dara is good enough for a full time show if he wants one.

I understand that he has been offered full time shows on other stations already but has declined them due to his current workload not permitting him to commit to a regular radio show right now.

Some people are better on the telly - some are better on the radio. Few are good on both. Baker's rubbish on the telly, but a master craftsman of the wireless. Likewise, love Dara on the telly, but with Claudia he's starting to make me nostalgic for Matthew Wright and Josie D'Arby.... (or for that matter The Jamesons?!!)

A LOT of rabbiting, but not an awful lot of comedic substance.

Not especially so. I though Hammond was quite good. Very confident & relaxed with Sally as well. I'm enjoying this afternoons line up from 2pm onwards. A pleasant change. Shame about Dermot & Jezza today though. Rolling Eyes

Please don't remind me of that pairing, it was possibly the worst ever that I've heard on radio.

Am about to switch off the 2 that are rabbbiting on just now as well.

I enjoyed the Hamster. Good music, self-deprecating humour. Roll on Monday!

I like him on TV but he just didn't doit for me on the radio, I didn't really like Claudia Winkleman and thought he would have been better by himself.
I thought Hammond was OK but that window winding thing was a bit, erm.. visual Laughing

As he is still reccuperating after his accident I'm not sure a regular slot would be a good idea just yet, however once he is fully fit it would be nice to hear him regularly.

I have to agree - I felt with Claudia there it was 2 people entertaining themselves rather than me. I quite enjoyed the 30 minutes I heard but would prefer one or the other.

I was pleasantly surprised by Richard H's show. I didn't think I would enjoy it but thought it was actually very good. A few to many "safe oldies" but otherwise good.

Dara and Claudia? At best - dull. At worst - irritating. Didn't work for me.

Dara could improve his show a lot by dumping Claudia. He doesnt need her as a sidekick.

Is she going to be on with him again on Monday? if so I think I'll give it a miss, I have to agree he would be much better on his own.

I enjoyed the show too! Most of it was very good, although I think the Electric Window Racing could have been better planned.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this - but even the ginger one would be better than this irritating pairing of Claudia whatever and Dara.

I had previously thought he was OK but thirteen minutes into the show and the prospect of doing the ironing in the other room and watching Spanish TV looks infinitely more attractive. (And I never though I'd hear myself say that either) Crying or Very sad

Nothing wrong with the Ginger one Very Happy

This pair or wafflers are just Bank Holiday time fillers. Just poor standins following the standard format of getting listenbers to text in rubbish to read out.

I don't actually know who this Dara bloke is, but I wasn't that impressed. Fine for a stand-in on a one-off, I suppose, but he wasn't helped any by Claudia Winklemann, who IMHO was an unnecessary addition, nay, a hinderance to the programme. Too much inane chatter and not enough music for my liking.

No doubt they will be trotted out twice again next month, though.

And that is exactly how I feel about ironing! But tonight it was oddly cathartic compared with this dross Rolling Eyes
