Y'know it is getting real tedious reading sarky comments to Mark Occomore's posting of news stories on here.

For some of us, this is the first web site we check before the news and it's our first chance to see what's going on - I certainly visit before I read my paper.

I look at a thread to see the news item then other posters comments hoping we'll have intelligent, sometimes funny replies.

Instead what do I see, but ludicrous comments about cutting and pasting and attaching links. Ella seem to have stopped but now Gus has jumped on the bandwaggon.

If you don't like the postings here, then don't visit - as other's have said, what are you expecting to see here!

Let's all play nice.

Thanks.

I for one enjoy Mark's (and others) news postings. It gives us the chance to comment or have an informed opinion. I have posted the occasional piece from my local area that I thought might be of interest to others. Those items that I don't find interesting, I just skip over and I would suggest that others do the same.

Keep up the good work, Mark. Very Happy Very Happy

Does this mean that we're seeing more carrots in the economy?

I totally agree with both of you, I can't see what the problem with cutting and pasting and posting links.
After all this is a news and current affairs section, what exactly are we supposed to post? Confused

Thanks for your kind words everyone. I see that some of the news items which some post are not always linked to news items which the main news channels cover. When we used to do this on the old JV Boards over on the R2 MB it did seem to be about what he was covering on his show that day. As some have said 'it's good to see your opinions regarding the news items, and some of the funny side of them'.

Very Happy

Most of the time Mark Occomore activities/postings on this board are non offensive/not harming anyone so I agree his postings in this section are okay-indeed I like the fact that they may provoke some "witty kind of take on the items/news of the day posted"-humour imho makes the world go round etc.

NB-Mark-no more likening me to Scott Nelson though on this board please-thanks. Believe it or not though I used to quite like Scott's postings-at least he said what he thought.

Marks posting on this board do exactly what it says on the tin. They usually result in a thread of comment so they must be working (not always negative from the usual culprits).

It's up to the rest of us to find other N&CA that we think worthy of discussion. Cool Smile

Exactly - and I've posted a few myself so if people want to criticise Mark, they should be criticising me too.

Totally agree with Andy and Cherskiy: Mark always entitles his subjects so you know what they are about immediatley.
I posted a news item once, but was discouraged by the replies from doing it again.
This section is for news and currrent affairs. Mark is doing his bit.
I may begin to post news items from Norway (In English) soon, it may be have to be under a seperate forum of "Bizarre". Then people could complain!

Wouldn't mind hearing news from far away shores, world news seems to concentrate on America and Russia so bring it on and damn the detracters Wink
