Hello, Janeway - where the devil have you been. As me old mate Chersk says - Welcome back.

Did you get a chance to listen to the Star Trek downloads? What did you think?

Anyone interested in a long conveluted audio version of Logans Run and Planet of the Apes, follow the link (actually, they're not too bad)...

Thanks! That thing called work kept me away, I've been catching up with your Radio 2 with the "listen again" feature on the internet. Hopefully I'll be back for a while now Smile

Have either of you seen Firefly? (That's probably a really stupid question!)

A real shame that Fox cancelled the show - I picked up the boxed set recently and loved it from the get-go! (Favourite episodes were "Our Mrs Reynolds" and "Trash" - but there's a common link for this.)

If not, you should. SF and westerns probably shouldn't mix, but in Firefly they do, and how.... Very Happy

Yep! Loved the show, as you say....Shame that Fox canceled the show, but the men in suits always know best Evil or Very Mad

I haven't seen any Firefly. I don't have Sky tv, I've heard good things and the lead actor (can't remember his name) was great in the final 'Buffy' season.
Maybe I will give it a go. Chersk - you've referenced the Torrent downloads-is this the site that does an episoed at $2.99 and is it ok as I'm alway's worried about downloads to my PC?

Anyhoo, I'm waiting for series 10 of Stargate to come out on DVD - seems to be taking a devil of a time!!!

There is a petition over here for a Star Trek Voyager movie. That would be great. It could tie up all the loose ends after that last episode drivel called "Endgame"

Both Firefly and every season of SG-1 can be downloaded (for free) from Torrentspy - you just need a Bittorrent client first (try googling 'Bitcomet' - it's the one I use). Install Bitcomet - it's free too, then search Torrentspy.com for "SG-1" or "Firefly" and a list will come up. Select your choice - ones with the most seeders/downloaders are quicker to download - and click on the button to download. It's then added to your Bitcomet list and the software does the rest. Leave the PC on overnight if you can - sometimes it takes a few days to download everything, as some files are 1GB or more.

It's that simple.

Drivel indeed. Let's give the game away right at the start of the episode, handwave the whole series into oblivion with a time travel trick and reduce the Borg to virtual cartoon characters at the same time. Neat.... Rolling Eyes

And for dessert, we present.... "Enterprise"! Shocked B&B really jumped the shark with that one. If it had been re-titled "Star Trek Lite" it would have been more honest....

Couldn't agree more. We will have to see what this new Trek movie has to offer. If it doesn't do well , where does that leave the Trek franchise? The suits at Paramount revived Trek with the original movie, maybe they could revive the whole thing again with a decent Voyager movie, which to me would make more sense instead of going back to the days when Spock and Kirk were still "kids", which I'm to believe is where the current Trek movie in production is heading. Evil or Very Mad

Rant over!
