What is going on why are Kate and Gerry the parents being interviewed separately after DNA tests from blood stains found in the apartment?

ah yes, that was my favourite cop show: "Einstein PI" - solves crimes faster than the speed of light. Most murders are in the family - at least, that's Einstein's theory of relativity Laughing

I think it's strange how they were allowed to still drive around in the hire car if DNA was found in it which links to her disappearance?

Does seem very odd doesn't it.

And if the car had been used to move a body 20 odd days on (as they seem to be suggesting) surely there would have been much more than a trace of DNA in the car.

The hire car could have been used before they got hold of it to move her body by someone else. They then got it cleaned and was given to the McCanns to fit them up.

Also the Police could have made them as suspects to hound them out of the country. I didn't know there other children were still with them, but at least they are back.

Looking at the website they have raised more than a million now to help find their child. So that must helped paid for them to stay? I heard insurance was helping them too?

The really frightening thing is, Maddie is still missing (and I hope to God she is safe somewhere).

We've seen in previous cases that sometimes evidence, even forensic evidence can be misunderstood. There seems to be quite a lot of grey area linked to it here to.

It's almost as if they are so publicly making them suspects in the hope that someone will come forward with new evidence.

Innocent till proven guilty indeed, however mud sticks and the only thing that will put an end to this nightmare, will be to find Maddie.

I hope that they are innocent, if only for the fact that if they are not, there will be a lot of extremely angry people.

Hang on a second why is Gerry keep saying his wife is innocent? They need to find a body also.

Yes people will be very, very angry if they have something to do with it.

if dna is present ( which couldve come from indirect transfer from maddies things, cos youre assuming its blood but it could be sweat or even drool ) and you believe from that that they MUST be guilty "cos' I've seen CSI and its all pukka!" then you are suggesting that not only did they kill ( accident or otherwise) their daughter but they also (under constant scrutiny, allbeit mostly brought on by themselves) had the sheer brass neck to move her body 25 days later??

maybe they did but you can bet your life someone would have been watching. who else hired that car. did the initial suspect hire it? i dont know and neither do you, but to be judge jury and executioner from your armchair is pretty easy to do!

should they turn out to be guilty then i hope that justice is seen to be done and they rot in hell but it will take more than one piece of evidence( no matter what yank tv tells ya) before i write them off.

my biggest problem has been the fact they have never reacted to her vanishing the way me and mrs whitebits would have( and no i wouldnt have left them alone either but that is irrelevant). they have been very stiff upper lip and media hungry. HOWEVER, everyone handles grief differently and whose to say if it was us in their position there wouldnt be someone on here saying "blimey theyre overdoing the crying a bit arent they?"

i believe thats whats called a no win situation. i suggest we let the people actually connected with this case carry out the investigation and you can slag the couple off if and when they are found guilty.

Interpol is taking seriously a photograph that claims to show missing Madeleine McCann in Morocco.

In full: The Madeleine McCann case
The image of a little blond-haired girl was taken by a Spanish couple while they were on holiday there at the end of August.

It shows a fair haired young girl accompanied by a number of Moroccan adults.

Clara Torres, the photographer, told radio station COPE:

"On the morning of August 31 I was with my family and my partner, we were going from Chaouen to Tetuan.

"On the road, in a town called Zinat, I was taking photos of everything we saw, and we saw a group of people and took a photo.

"As soon as I took the photo we were struck by the little girl, who was very blonde.

"The truth is we said the name of the girl, but we couldn't believe it could be here, it was just impossible that it was here.

But it was only when she heard of other reported sightings in Morocco that she realised the true significance of the picture:

"I ran to the computer, downloaded the photos and started to amplify the photo and when we saw it we realised yes, it could be her.

"It sent shivers down my spine."

The senior Portuguese police detective investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been removed from the case.

Goncalo Amaral was apparently removed after comments he made about British police, in which he suggested they were working to her parents' agenda.

Friends of Gerry and Kate McCann are to be re-interviewed in the UK, the chief of Portuguese police has said.

The interviews will be conducted using questions written by Portuguese police investigating the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine.

The McCanns apparently used money from the fund to pay for their mortgage.

Gerry is returning to work on a part time basis.

The decision by detectives to make Madeleine McCann's parents suspects in her disappearance was too hasty, Portugal's top policeman has said.

Kate and Gerry McCann were named as formal suspects - or "arguidos" - four months after their daughter vanished from their holiday flat in the Algarve.

Hopefully they will get on finding Madeline?

and being a suspect doesn't mean guilty

I am amazed the way this case twist and turns and the way things get reported etc.
