well it moves him further away from London. Cant imagine he will actually go to York & present a local show for them.

If you've ever listened to the show there is hardly any (if any) mention of BBC Oxford so it would be highly saleable to other BBC stations ... (though presumably not R2!) Just insert news and travel at the appropriate junctions.

Being the complete professional he is, I'd expect nothing less than a quick trip up to Yorkshire from Oxford, frankly.

I'm sure on the albums show he has traffic reports at about 5 minutes to the hour.
Now that would be good to co ordinate 2 different traffic reporters from 2 different studios to finish at the same time.

It's certainly a good juggling act, but with the software they have nowadays I'm sure it's not too hard. I was at Chorley FM the other day, and if they can manage it anyone can!

The pressure will really be on the York end to make sure they don't mess up Richard's show.

Interesting to hear Richard Allinson on Radio York today and even saying "this is Richard Allinson on BBC Radio York".

If I am right Allinsons Albums does NOT feature on Radio Oxford today-replaced by some kind of show devoted to Street Olympics-oh dear!

I'm intrigued as to where Richard is actually delievring this show from.
I checked the Radio Oxford web-cam at 11.30am and I'm sure he was in the studio but a few minutes later the chair was empty.

Cannot seem to locate a web cam for the studios in Radio York-weird.

Strange as you wouldn't have seen him. The show would have been pre-recorded from a location in London.

It may well have been precorded but I don't think it came from London.

I'm sure Richard was in the Radio Oxford studios on Saturday up until about 11.30am-maybe he got there early and pre-corded it from there.

I don't know how they work it, but I wouldn't be surprised he could record some of the shows from broadcasting house?
