Some baseless speculation here but I think Sally Boazman may be getting her own show in the next round of reorganisation in September.

The other week she told Chris she had a busy "work-related" weekend but wasn't allowed to discuss it. She didn't do traffic bulletins or make any on-air appearance that weekend (as far as I'm aware).

Then last night she told Aled she wants to lose weight and look better by September for something big, but can't discuss anymore.

So I'm putting 2 + 2 together to make 5!

It may be that she's going on Saturdays while Dermot does X-Factor, or she's covering for someone who is (eg Pete Mitchell)?

Or she could just be trying to make something mundane sound more exciting than it is.

Maybe Sarah Kennedy will be going to spend her time in the Country.

Sally in the mornings.
Yep sounds good to me.

She tried it before & she froze, so why would she be trying again? And MIKERAPHONE, I dont think Sally does early mornings too well!

Because she has a giant ego, and someone in charge thinks she's popular and can do the job with a bit of training?

She'll need to learn about music though. Yesterday she introduced a "happy, summer tune" - "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks, the most mawkish song ever made.

Personally, I can't see her in the line-up permanently, except what she's doing at the moment.

As you said, she was rubbish last time, so... er, yeah. Get your point Wink

Mark my words, something's up (and O'Leary is the only one I can think of who may be leaving. If LD wants to keep him she's more likely to get temporary cover from someone already at R2 than bring in another DJ for a 3 month stint). I would guess Sally wants to look good on the webcam, seeing as there are now threads devoted to such things! Wink

Maybe she will be Deputy Controller, now that LD seems to be running about six different networks.

Well if she promotes Sally, one thing is clear. She wont give Allinson a permanent show this side of hell freezing.

She was doing Truck Fest at the weekend.

I can't see her getting her own show either.

Maybe she's pairing up for a show with someone else in September? I could see more pairing of shows like Mark & Stuarts?

Perhaps the work related weekend was the truck fest that took place in the east midlands?

No. I didn't say this weekend. It was about 2 or 3 weeks ago - no Truck Fest or PA.

Maybe it's nothing. I know a few years back I read that her agent was trying to get her a show on Radio 2, but nothing came of it?

Thanks Helen. Here's a couple more of Sally in her more usual role on Drivetime and with Ken Bruce when she swapped shifts with Lynn Bowles a couple of years ago. I wonder if she was shouting a little too much that day!!

Sally always seems flustered with the traffic bullitins when it gets busy. Maybe she would be more relaxed hosting her own show?

Is Bobbi a slender wee thing then?
