How lovely to hear Janis Ian singing "Stars" on RA this morning. I had quite forgotten what a superb singer songwriter she is - we should hear more of her other tracks. I got fed up with "Seventeen" and it wasnt one of her best. |

Yes it's good to hear a variety, not just the playlist and the regular oldies.

I remember Fish talking about this song on the Old Grey Whistle Test circa 1983, when Andy Kershaw interviewed him about his favourite records. I never expected the then Marillion singer to be a fan of hers, but he admires her, Dory Previn and Joni Mitchell. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.
