Extra police officers are to patrol the streets of Brighton on nights when there is a full moon.

It follows research by the Sussex force which concluded there was a rise in violent incidents when the moon was full - and also on paydays.

One day you're in Brighton, the next in some strange picturesque village full of marching bands, mini-mokes, a crap shop and a bloody radio that only plays village fm no matter how much you kick the hell out of it!....not surprised we haven't heard from you for a while, number 6! Wink

I'm a true Brightonian, born and raised. Left when it became full of itself and far too expensive. Strangely, I now live in a village just along the coast. Thie weekend we had a festival with erm.. bands and local radio. No shop though.

Been out of action for a while owing to have an operation to remove a growth from my spinal cord. Back to fitness now though

Why is it a waste of money? If you read the findings of the research in more depth you will find that it is actually really interesting. If indeed there is a link between the moon's ascendancy and crime levels that's something that should not be ignored. And if we learn something valuable from it that helps to reduce crime then it might well be money well spent.

Did they all enjoy the episode of 'Everybody Hates Chris' where Tonya was terrified of werewolves?

By the way, were the crimes reported generally done by women?

I can imagine Terry Wogan's fake horoscopes (are there any other kind) have a field day with this.
