| there is no sign of Alex Lester returning to radio 2 before July-following Nikki Bedis 2 week stint sitting in for him Nemone is doing his show next week and the week after- anyone know whats happened to him?! |

He is taking 6 weeks off as was announced earlier this year. Iain I'm surprised you didnt know

ps why do we still have to endure Nemone on 6 music while shes doing Alex Lesters show on radio 2-is she super human or what

I think he is on a long hoilday in the US. I suppose he is entitled after 15 years on the nightshift. He will be back in mid to late July I think

The BBC are short on money at the moment. Hence Pete Mitchell presenting shows from 3-6am on Friday night and being back at 4.30pm on Saturdays to cover for Dermot O'Leary.

| actually Ive just been told Anita Ranis sitting in for her on 6 music while shes on radio 2- just shows how much more important radio 2 is that she'd rather do an overnight show there than a mid afternoon show on 6 music |

He's travelling from LA to New York in a mustang (I think) convertible. Stuart Maconie was to link up with him tonight but they couldn't get him.

According to Nikki Bedi this morning he's probably coming up to Death Valley. I wonder if he'll get 'buzzed' by the USAF like my parents did when they were there a few years ago!!
