This was favourite all time show on Radio 2.
I used to love the 3 hour version and the fantastic Wall of Sound. segment that featured. I was disappointed when they cut the show back to 2 hours and devastated when the show was wound up completely. Who did they replace Richard with Chris Evans-I immediately stopped listening. |

| And Neil Young's Like a Hurricane. The only one I didn't like, indeed had to switch off, was Laurie Anderson's O Superman. Was that the first 'Douglas disaster' decision? |

There seemed to be a lot of off-beat records that proved quite popular back then - Anderson's "O Superman" (eight minutes out of a four-and-a-half hour long piece, apparently), "Kissing With Confidence" (Carly Simon vocals but by 'Will Powers') and one I quite liked for some unfathomable reason, the Tom Tom Club's "Wordy Rappinghood". _________________ Cherskiy
