At around 22.50 last night, the site crashed.

Just thought I would let you know although I daresay this had something to do with the server.

It didn't crash. It was a "connection to database server" error. Probably due to lots of traffic on the shared server at that precise point in time. It's a common occurence with phpBB based forums talking to backend databases like MySQL on shared servers.

There, see, I'm not just pretty face! Razz

Hey guys,

As we are using a totally free service, from time to time we are going to experience time-outs and some downtime. As long as it comes back the way it was, and as long as we aren't offline for hours at a time, we will just have to persevere with it.

I still think the actual service and uptime is better with this provider though, than with the BBC. We dont have that annoying wait for pages to open. Cool

Thanks Cap. Can't find a emoticon for salute, so you'll have to have a hash up. <Salutes Cap> Cool
