Hi Two-stepper, you HAVE been away a while!

Not much going on here, except the usual SK vs RA debate Smile electrifying news updates from MarkO, 43 viagra salesmen have been banned, and one called Britneyslover, iain_smith banned again, oh and a real get together is being arranged in Birmingham!

I'm sort of cherry picking the threads that catch my eye and, yes John, the place feels like my favourite old pair of boots, warm and comfortable ! Sarah poorly (again), Alice depping (again), Lamarr & Brand in for Wossy (again), Wogan playing Billy Joel "In the middle of the night" and going "I go walkin' in the.." ad infinitum (again), not to mention the twice weekly Tina Turner "Simply the best" (which it isn't !), all in all business as usual at good ol' Radio 2 !
I'm happy to be back now though, new 'puter (not steam driven and with a 'Pendulum' processor !) but still spending waaaaay too much time on guitar sites ! I've seen Iain posting on the Digital Spy boards a few times by the way, he's not changed has he, still in full predict-o-rama !! If I knew his Lotto numbers I wouldn't play 'em.. he couldn't predict what happens after you throw a lit match into a can of petrol !

I expect you're right. He would probably say it would catch light, which it could of course, but if the top had JUST been taken off with no chance vapour mixing with air then the match would go out Razz

Sabtafefan,

There's an interesting clip on Youtube, at a US gas station where a lady filling up goes back into her car for a minute (gets her clothes nicely static charged on the seat) goes back to the pump, little spark, and a quantity of petrol vapour flashes and she runs off to the garage man.

The whole car and tank full of petrol did not go up because there's no oxygen in the petrol tank.

Like you, though, I wouldn't want to try it Laughing

Me neither, I'd probably not be quick enough! Shocked As they used to say on the telly, "Don't try this at home kids"
