The BBC has confirmed children's show Blue Peter broke guidelines in a vote to name its cat, as it revealed three other breaches of editorial rules.
The cat was called Socks after staff changed the results of an online poll. Viewers wanted the cat named Cookie.

 I had heard the name chosen was deemed "inappropriate" for a kids show. I had expected something pornographic was chosen. Am I missing a hidden street meaning of the word "cookie"?

We used to moor on the Grand Union canal, Leicester arm and regularly passed a narrowboat called "Kinnell". I didn't get it straight off.  |
