I think the "new" Batman films are good but maybe they're taking it all a bit too seriously, each one darker and a little more boring than the last?
I liked the 60's Batman & Robin, it was hilarious . _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Whaaaat?????? Batman & Robin - not remotely dark and serious. But complete and utter rubbish. It took Chris Nolan's fabulous Batman Begins to restore some credibility to the series. It had to be serious, because Joel Schumacher had made the whole thing a laughing stock.
I think the current films are more on a par with the majority of the comics, and as the Adam West series was so iconic the new stuff shouldn't even try and compete. |

I read that David (Dr. Who) Tennant said he wants to play 'The Riddler' in a future 'Batman' project. He mentioned Cesar Romero as 'The Joker', Eartha Kitt as 'Catwoman' and Burgess Meredith as 'The Penguin', but failed to identify Frank Gorshin who played..'The Riddler!' Frank was a great mimic and back in the sixties he was on British TV and did a sketch playing a Western gunfight with Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster versus Jack Palance and Anthony Quinn. He did each of the four stars to perfection, with Kirk and Burt arguing who had the whitest teeth before the showdown! |
