Television presenter Anne Robinson is to divorce her husband John Penrose after 27 years of marriage.
The couple are splitting on the grounds of irreconcilable differences and a decree nisi is expected next month.
A spokesman for the pair said: "There is no-one else involved.
"There is no acrimony and Anne and John have reached on amicable settlement on all financial issues."
Robinson has achieved fame around the world for her icy put downs on the quiz show The Weakest Link.
She said: "We have been an enormously important part of each other's lives for a very long time and our friendship will carry on forever."

The divorce is amicable. If you can believe Mrs Robinson being amicable.
They didnt revive her for the Radio 2 40th birthday celebrations.

| What I meant by my posting is that I realy don't like Anne Robinson-imho I really don't think she is a nice person. Therefore I don't care she is splitting up from her husband. |

I agree with that as well, but at the end of the day she's just a jobbing TV presenter, another reason not to care about what happens in her marital affairs. It's not just a story in my book - and not worth re-posting in boards such as this. |

| The post was real, but as some in the first two posts have done is made the thread a little light hearted and some of her quotes she has said over the years, like we have done in some threads in the news section. Some are taking this to serious now. |
