We're of a kind - witty, professional (in a consummate sort of way!) and experienced in life. In fact, I think I'll have the R2 sunday slot he's soon to vacate. That'll show 'em!

BTW: Ella who?

You could have a feature on the show called 'The Weekly Blow Job". Basically, a slot where you can blow your own trumpet - to whichever tune you like!

Scott, I have to confess I did laugh out loud at that!!! Smile

(Not sure John W. will like it though. I'll complain just to make myself look good).

John Wright is down in the dumps at the moment. The R3Ok lot are trying to overthrow him as Mod. I'm disgusted with the way he's been treated over there.

Yes, I have had that trouble, too. I thought my name was Phil when I woke up. By lunchtime, I thought I was Larry, now I'm not sure if my name is Dolly. Embarassed

They most certainly do! They were about when Herr Gruuber! was (sometime last year prior to the closure of the Radio 2 board - that I have been blamed for). It was nothing to do with me; it was to do with BBC cutbacks. All main BBC Radio forums have been closed.

I protest strongly for being blamed for the Radio 2 board closure. It's not my fault of Lesley Douglas and Radio 2 presenters cannot accept a) the truth, b) negativity and c) criticisms.

I don't think it'll be Clive Anderson taking over? Maybe there will be a mix of presenters similar to what they do on " Have I Got News For You?

I hope it's not Clive Anderson. Long silent gaps in today's interview with Warren Mitchell - he couldn't think of anything to ask. At least Parky knows how to "fill" while thinking of a question.

Being the consumate pro that he is, Parky would have done his research, for sure. He's good is Parky.

27/1/08 - Janet Street-Porter

3/2/08 - Eddie Izzard

10/2/08 - Sue Barker

17/2/08 - Vanessa Feltz

24/2/08 - Michael Aspel

2/3/08 - Russell Brand

9/3/08 - Paul Merton

16/3/08 - Marcus Brigstocke

27/4/08 - Ricky Gervais

4/5/08 - Chris Evans

11/5/08 - Jim Davidson

18/5/08 - Lenny Henry

25/5/08 - Jade Goody

1/6/08 - Gordon Ramsay

8/6/08 - Graham Norton

15/6/08 - Ruby Wax

22/6/08 - Kate Thornton

29/6/08 - Dermot O'Leary

6/7/08 - Des Lynam

13/7/08 - Caroline Ahern (as Mrs Merton)

20/7/08 - Natasha Kaplinsky

27/7/08 - Trevor McDonald

3/8/08 - Dick & Dom

17/8/08 - Steve Wright

24/8/08 - Paul O'Grady

21/9/08 - Darren Day

28/9/08 - Suggs

5/10/08 - Elaine Paige

12/10/08 - Rupert Murdoch

D'you know what, Scott? I think it could work, dammit! But only if Boris Johnson is on the list.

I see that Steve Wright's on the list. He could do a good job..... at bricklaying maybe?

Steve Wright could have Boris Johnson and Red Ken on as guests! They could then argue with each other who would make the better Mayor of London!

Just catching up on reading 5 weeks of posts on these boards.

As for MP leaving his Sunday morning show this is great news imho.

Hopefully we will get some kind of proper request show in its place-has anyone mentioned that Richard Allinson could host it.

I think Michael Parkinson would be ideal in the Sunday 11.00 am slot, personally.

Michael Parkinson IS ideal in the Sunday 11am slot as far as I am concerned. Guess I'll be listening to a Sinatra CD instead soon. Thanks for being there , Michael and good luck!
