I forgot to mention that Max Bygraves was 85 yesterday.
Though his sing-along style isn't my cup of tea, it's evident that he has brought untold pleasure to millions over many years.
So is it time he had a K?

It's 25 years since he got his OBE
Now enjoying his retirement in Australia I would have thought he was overdue for some further recognition of the fundraising for charity which he did when he was more active, not to mention the pleasure he has given to millions of tv viewers and record buyers over the years. (I was never fond of the "SingalongaMax" series but his easy-going charm, corny jokes and records from the 1950s, many but not all of which fell into the Children's Favourites category, were very good).
