The weather has not been so good here lately.......
(On the first link the stone bridge collapses at 2'15" into the film.
The second one shows a normally quiet canal in Javea (where we live) just before the sea. The boats are crashing into the bridge which forms the main road along the sea front. This happened on Friday and yesterday they were just removing the last of the wrecks from the beach. )
A spokesman for the Valencian Community said we had a year's worth of rain in just 12 hours. No water rationing next summer then. |

I was in Javea, Moraira and Denia back in May! We rented a large villa up the hill behind the Plaza de Mercado (I hope that translates as the Market Square!!!) with a nice big swimming pool. We frequented a nice restaurant down by the harbour, too.
Lots of Brits in Javea, though. Damned immigrants!
PS: A nice big moisture blob on the camera lens of the first clip. A glimpse of "BBC News" standards of the future? |
