Encouraged by the success of social networking sites amongst young people, they're now talking of having the same exclusively for those of us who are 50 and over.
Good luck with it but I don't think I'll be joining. I like socialising with the whole range of ages, not just one group.
What do others think?
Ian. |

You can socialise (if that indeed is what we do on social networking sites) with all age ranges by getting involved in a range of such sites, surely. |

I'm with you on that, Ian. I'm quite happy to exchange views relatively anonymously with people of a wide range of age and background on the few forums like this that I frequent.
Facebook and myspace and now Sagazone, and the facility to "blog" seem to be an encouragement to spend far too much time in front of a computer sharing the minutiae of your life and thoughts with the world.
The news report, with a link to the site, is http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7070667.stm
It was having teething trouble, or was still in construction when I went to have a look-see. _________________ Ron |

It looks like the BBC website has pulled the link to the SagaZone for the time being. I noticed that the Sagazone section is running really slowly (although I can load the login page) so I suspect that the large amount of PR that has been generated has somewhat stressed out their web-server! |

No, there is a link in the right-hand column, but it didn't connect for me, but this did

Yes, I've been trying to get into the music forums but my whole PC has now almost ground to a halt

Whoever their PR company is, they've got value for money today, that's for sure! |
