The North-East contingent might like to know that Elton John is coming to Darlington Arena on Saturday 5 July 2008.
If you live elsewhere, he continues at Perth on Sun 6 July and Doncaster on Sat 12 July.
We booked our tickets on www.ticketmaster.co.uk

In the main, this was a really worthwhile event. Sir Elton is still in very fine voice and his repertoire was well chosen to include all the hits plus some less familiar items. Interesting to note, too, that, at least at Darlington, the audience encompassed a very wide age range.
At Darlington we weren't allowed to take food or drink into the ground. The food was reasonably priced and more than adequate but the drinks were a bit of a rip-off. We opted to use park-and-ride--not bad but ideally they could have done with one or two more buses. But overall the organisation went very well. If you've booked to go to one of the remaining concerts on the tour, you're in for a treat.

Funnily enough I played from start to finish this morning Elton's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album-absolutely brilliant. |

He's in London too. I think it's called the Red Piano Tour? |
