A football fan has been given NHS cash to buy a football season ticket to help improve his "quality of life".

Gavin Croft, 40, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, has used the money from a new scheme to buy a £375 ticket for a friend to accompany him to home matches. Mr Croft has problems seeing because of his condition and needs someone to talk him through the action when watching Rochdale football club.

I guess we should be grateful he's not a Chelsea fan. The cheapest season ticket for Stamford Bridge is £790.
