Yes, the Pelvis was born on this date in Jan 8th 1935! Now tomorrow is also one I celebrate as Lee Van Cleef was born Jan 9th 1925! In the fifties I wrote to Hollywood after seeing Lee in 'High Noon' and I got a signed photo back! Alas, now lost after several house moves! When I meet up with my old pals from school, they all shout ' Here's Briant! The man who discovered Lee Van Cleef!' |

Fred: Elvis ain't dead in my heart! LOL!
Santa: I wrote to Mr. Lee Van Cleef, c/o Universal Studios, Hollywood California USA. No 'Zip codes' as I didn't know any! Today I got a parcel returned to me from the USA as one number was omitted from the Zip Code, even though the address was otherwise all correct. Bar Stewards! |

Blimey, I'm surprised at that. I've sent quite a number of packages to the US but many, many more from the US to the UK with never a hitch until it gets over here.
I always try to get tracking on my parcels and often they sit in the Norwich depot for longer than the US to UK trip! even though I've paid for a 5 day delivery.
When they sent your parcel back, did you have to pay for the return postage? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Hi Santa. This particular parcel has been in transit since October! We had given up and presumed it to be lost, stolen or strayed. We put a claim in for the item which is ongoing. Now we will have to tell them it has been returned to us, albeit opened and slightly damaged. Hopefully we will get the postage refunded at least. We will send it again via another carrier! |

I sent a letter to Elvis once.
It came back the very next day marked Return To Sender! |

When the Elvis postage stamps came out in the US, I heard that people were actually sending letters to incorrect addresses so that 'Return to sender' would be stamped on them! |
