Was awake early today, for a Saturday, as Mrs W was working, and heard a good chunk of Mo Dutta's show whilst waiting for SOTS to start.

Jim Bacon's weather chat was very interesting.

I remember him as a TV forecaster--well, it must be donkey's years ago. But what professional path has he followed since then?

Ian.

Doesnt he run a commercial weather forecast service for clients in business who want long range forecasts eg. agricultural businesses that want to know what likely grain yields are going to be for next season & ice cream manufacturers and so on?

Appears to have gone from the BBC's team with the Met to running his own weather forecasting company, which does supply some local radio stations with scripts.

Thanks for comments.

Now why didn't I think of doing a Google search?
