The BBC website has had a makeover. http://www.bbc.co.uk/
At first glance it has obviously been rejigged to give it more international appeal, especially when you call up the TV home page.
This article in the Telegraph gives the thinking behind the revamp - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/digitallife/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2008/02/28/dlbbc128.xml
Like everything else, we'll get used to it, but I can't help thinking that, since 20 million people visited it every week it must have been pretty good, and if it ain't broke, why fix it? _________________ Ron |

Totally agree.
The make over was not needed-why spend time, money ,effort giving something a makeover when it didn't need it.
BBC Management equals bonkers in my book. |

The only time I ever went there was to use it as an index - and that's the bit they've removed. Marvelous |

Hang on though..... you can customise the page, put the radio, TV, news, sport boxes where you want, delete others......
...hang on though.... won't let me move the box that I DON'T want

I think it's atrocious. I used it as my home page and a browser a lot of the time but that has gone now. Yes there is a 'search' box at the top as before but it only gives BBC input on whatever you are looking for. You have to click 'web' for what you got first time round if you ticked the 'web' box on the old one.
Not exactly what I'd call progress.

The colour scheme looks a bit watery. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
