Starting on saturday april 5 theres a new line up- it is.....

2pm-dermot O'leary

5pm-Paul Gambaccini

7pm-weekly documentary

8pm-Bob Dylan

9pm-Russel Brand

the rest of the day is as before..the following day Michael Ball starts his new sunday show 11am-1pm .So its goodbye to Stuart Maconies saturday show.I suppose it ws inevitable. He will of course continue to be on weeknights at 8pm with Mark Radcliffe. What do you think of the new saturday line-up?

Dermot has replaced the slot where Richard Allinson occupied for a while and we all know what happened to his show?

Replace DOL with RA and I'd start listening again on a Saturday afternoon (stopping at 9pm, naturally!).... Smile

Will listen from 5 when I'm around. I've got out of the habit of Saturday afternoon listening as Stuart's show was a bit too early for me.

I'm sorry that Stuart's show is finishing - it was the only programme I lisened to regularly on Saturday afternoon. I wonder if he chose to leave or was pushed?

Stuart Maconie has been writing a column for the Daily Mirror on Thursdays while Brian Reade has been on holiday.

I'm guessing he decided to go.

Hell of a shame that Stuart is leaving - doesn't look like it's worth switching to radio 2 at weekends any more.

Chalk up another major blunder from that blasted Lesley Douglas - may she rot in whatever hell makes her suffer the most. Twisted Evil

I can foresee a new phrase entering the language. 'Another Douglas Disasterous Decision'. Have you had a go at the 'give Lesley Douglas the boot' game yet? Just for the record, no it wasn't invented by me, nor did I put her head on the female body. I got it from the 6 music message boards. There is a huge outcry on there, as she's messing up 6 music big time as well, not least over the shunting of Gideon Coe to a 'graveyard slot' & the foisting of George Lamb upon everyone in his place. Whilst I don't advocate violence against women in real life, she certainly deserves a good boot up the jackseat for what she's done on both Radio 2 & 6 music & this way shouldn't get you arrested! http://www.pictogame.com/play/game/UGgdpwBcy4VD_kick-girl I've just sent her 136,079mtrs. Still well short of my personal best, but still immensley satisfying!!

Stuart's show is the only thing worth listening to on R2 on Sats, apart from Gambo. What a surprise that LD should remove him - thank God for Channel 4 racing!
