Is this the one that got moderated from the 5 live boards? If so, could it have been because the artical in the link is about the Today Programme? Which is on Radio 4 and therefore they considered it off topic. I wonder if it would have been ok if you had posted it on the R4 boards.

You may have a point there.
But I think the article reflected wider issues.
They seem very fussy about what links you post over there.
A while ago I posted a link to the Arabs For Israel site & that got removed too.
I think unless something is blatantly offensive, it should be allowed. If no one is interested, the thread will disappear. Otherwise poeole can discuss it from all sides

More power to John Humphrys I say! Ms Phillps, R. Littlejohn, Jeremy Clarkson, AA Gill and co are just hacks and not journalists in my opinion, to which I am fully entitled! Laughing

Yeah, but Melanie Phillips does NOT seek to silence those with opposing views.
She just points out the hypocrocies of the hurumphing self-righteous guys like John Humphreys & their slanted political agenda.
John Humphries can carry on hugging terrorists & third world dictators all he wants, but in his job he is supposed to maintain at least a semblance of impartiality.
John Humphreys is so predictably pro-Hamas, pro-ayatolla-run Iran, pro dioctator Chavez as he is anti-israel, anti-US & anti-Democracy
He decries Tony Blair for being a working class boy made good & thinks Britain should be ruled by the "natural elite" & that democracy should play no part!
Appalling!

Clive, everything you say is coloured by your own pro-Israeli bias. I understand that, but don't I share your views.

Maybe, Briant. But I am not presenting a BBC current affairs prog where I am supposed to be impartial. Humphreys is

I personally think John Humprhys is at least 20 times the journalist Philips is. If anyone is a national treasure here it's him

Maybe if he stopped hugging terrorists & dictators for a minute, & tried to overcome his pathological hatred of Israel 7 America, he might be a half decent presenter
He certainly doesn't have half the insight or understanding that Ms Phillips has
He just swallows Hizbollah propganda whole
He was in awe of saddam Hussein
