I don't read any papers so I don't know who is who but I like anybody who confronts some of the hypocritical and "everything's perfect" politicians we have today, particularly Harriet Harman... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I particularly liked the part where Polly Toynbee was bleating on about how we must all be prepared to cut back, economise, face facts about global warming etc and an angry Richard Littlejohn interrupted her asking " do you think about global warming as you jet off to your villa in Italy?"
She was not amused... magic.

I'm no fan of Ms Toynbee but I thought that some of the criticism of her was a bit unfair. She did accept the challenge to live in a sink flat on the minimum wage for the six weeks of Lent a few years ago--has Mr Littlejohn ever done anything similar?

I don't know whether he has or not, but even so, I like to see "below the belt" questions fired at politicians and, people in high flying positions put on the spot whoever asks the questions.
We need more of this for people to make better decisions about affairs, and not just accepting "it's tough for you out there but ok for us" line.
I feel Question Time looks at most issues through rose tinted glasses too.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Meanwhile, back with the Mayor, it's said that the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Ian Blair, looked as white as a sheet at Mr Johnson's acceptance ceremony. I can hardly see their politics coinciding. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at some of their forthcoming meetings.

Sir Ian Blairs politics being what exactly? From what I know of Blair he is fairly conservative. He used to live in a small village in Oxford before becoming head of the Met. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Sir Ian Blair was a very close ally of Ken Livingston. Together they conspired against Tony Blair. Ken & Sir Ian hatched up that rediculous police "investigation" which saw Tony Blair & his fundraiser questioned by police
Cost a fortune. ALL of the Met plice were involved in that ludicrous investigation#

What on earth has Sir Ian Blair's choice of residential area got to do with his politics?

Ha ha. Tony breaks the laws that Tony brought in, so it must be the polices fault. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Well, it was a daft policy, I'll give you that.
If someone wants to give their money to a legit political party, that should be entirely legal.
Meanwhile, people are funding terrorists & getting away with it |

Have been watching Question Time, which included a question about the new Mayor.
Throughout the discussion it was Boris this, Boris that.
Has anyone ever been known to refer to him as Mr Johnson?

He also said the first thing he'd do as Mayor was take the infamous bendy-buses off the roads. They're still in use. I guess he's still in his "honeymoon" period then. When will the bendy buses be removed - just before the next election maybe? _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2.
