|
|
I can't see it on any news websites. I did hear Aled Jones on Radio 2 sitting in for Sarah this morning saying JV is to replace Wogan!! Last week Richard Hammond to replace him on Breakfast now this. Is it the start of the speculation or rumour mill spinning around the media Circus / circuit? |

It's reported in today's Daily Telegraph - that's presumably where Aled read it. |

I'll give it a go, but I just can't see JV being my cup of tea hosting PoV. Still, it could be worse... at least he's not taking over the morning R2 breakfast show spot, as I misread when I first saw this! _________________ ~~~ Niblet ~~~

At one time it used to be said that, to present POV, it helped to be called Robinson. Robert, Kenneth and Anne all gave it a go at various times.

It does seem like the old fella is winding down a bit, I don't know if this means he might be retiring next year.
I seem to remember JV presented this a couple of times when Tel was away, he was ok at it so lets give him a chance. |

If it gets any more lightweight, it'll start floating off into the sunset! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I'd sooner have the Swiss Family Robinson than Viney!
Wonder if he'll leap about in excitement on telly making inconsequential remarks like he always seems to on radio? |

How about marooning JV on a desert island - he could pretend he was Robinson Crusoe! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

It was back today Sunday with Jezza Vine in one of the BBC control rooms suited and booted and demanding to sort the BBC out with listening to the viewers comments. Bang goes Chris Moyles as the saviour of Radio One, now Jeremy Vine is the Saviour of BBC TV |
