Former BBC Radio One presenter Bruno Brookes is back on the radio this weekend, covering the Sunday morning show for one week only on BBC Radio Berkshire.
His guest appearance will last for three hours and is described on the Radio Berkshire website as "Music and Entertainment".
Bruno, who hosted the Radio 1 chart show from 1986 till 1995 (with a two year gap in 1990), has been running his own media company since 2000 providing in-store radio stations to the likes of Ikea and Lloyds pharmacies.
He was last heard on the radio last year when he returned to Radio 1 for a special 40th birthday edition of the chart show, which he co-hosted with current presenters JK and Joel.
Rumour has it Bruno was fired from Radio 1 in 1995 just minutes after his early morning show finished at 6:30am, by Trevor Dann.

Its true Bruno was axed from radio one in 1995 because it was deemd he was too identified with th e cheesy era of DLT and Gary Davies, but he was given about 2 months notice. |

Bruno was back covering for Debbie on Berkshire. Check out the show for the next 7 Days. Must be a regular stand in. I think he lives closer to the station? |
