do you email the shows you listen to on the radio??
I email a bit to various shows and just got one read out on 5Live's Simon Mayo show.
I have only ever received replies from Alex Lester and Dermot O'Leary. It's alwasy nice to receive a personal message even though it's often not from the actual person but makes you feel more a part of the show. _________________

Yeah I do-
Rarely get replies from anyone since the move to London.... used to get a lot , but I e-mail Alex, Mo, Chris, Jezza, sometimes Ken, oh and Richard A whenever he is on live...and I sent my first request to Ball's Bawlers yesterday.....
You know it took me ages to realise that the Presenters don't open their own mail and sometimes the reply (f you get one) isn't always from them........ ... the things I've written..... Loads of the nonsense I send in has been read out over the years- seems to go though phases... some weeks almost everything I send in gets read out , other weeks ... nothing, but if it makes em smile in the studio - that's my work done... |

That's the trouble with the more popular shows with more listeners, less chance of a pesonal reply. I always feel I need to add my 2pence worth to any debate though! Mayo almost did a Steve Wright and read out the "great show" comment. I knew I'd catch him out.. _________________

Jimmy Young read out nearly every email I srnt (maybe because it was still relatively new then - late 1990s) but Jezza has only ever read out one of mine and that was the day George Harrison died. He's never read one since and I've sent loads.
The last one I sent I accused Martin Lewis (he of "moneysavinggobbyknowall.com") of being a self-serving, self-promoting prat. Maybe that was why it didn't get read out! _________________ ONline, ONdigital and ONtherocks: BBC Radio 2. Eleanor Rigby, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door. |

Bob Harris and Stuart Maconie - e-mail and texts in the past. I've had replies (and out of the blue e-mails) from Bob. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Possibly, which reminds me that I haven't done one in a while - too many pressures on my time at the moment. Haven't even heard this weekend's show yet! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
