A news item today tells us that the number of abortions amongst under-14s has risen by one-fifth.
I recognise that this must be distressing for the individuals involved.
But how does this tie in with allegedly improved sex education and easier availability of contraception, including the morning-after pill?

I suppose it DOESN't tie in with all that.
But it may tie in with the media; most top soaps for teens like Hollyoaks, Neighbours, Eastenders and Home and Away feature storylines where teens are having sex in their parents' house or around a mate's house etc etc.
This may excite kids watching, but since they are only kids they can easily forget what they learned about contraception or loving relationships etc. |
