Sarah Kennedy has been asking re the three best decisions various people have made.
One of hers was going to a wedding rather against her inclination and, as a consequence, meeting the Much Beloved for the first time.
I wondered about yours.
To start us off, here are mine:
1. Joining the Army Cadet Force when I was 14. I was probably the most unlikely recruit in its history but it did me tremendous good in terms of learning to mix with other people and work in a team.
2. Taking a job at Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, when I was 24. I'd been very so-so re applying, from outside the area, but I loved my 4 years there in themselves and also first met Mrs W there.
3. Getting out of NHS management in 1999 with my personality just about still intact.
