Thanks, John, I've signed it.

I know there's a bit of jazz on Radio 3, and some to send you to sleep on Classic FM, and I know I didn't get to hear Humph very often, but jazz deserves an easily accessible and permanent place on the nation's radios.

That was my point, too. If the argument goes that jazz should now be sidelined to R3, then why does Steve Lamacq need 2 'new music' shows on Radios 1 and 2?

I went on a bit of a rant saying keeping some jazz on Michael Ball's show is nowhere near a representation of this genre, considering Radio 2's duty to play a variety of music. A younger presenter could easily bring the show to a new audience, which is what R2 always seems to be doing now...

Especially as Jazz isn't one of the three genres Sunday Brunch is listed under. On the 'Listen by genre' page. Smile

Good luck with your quest.

Ok ok, I take your point! In my defence, it was still under that banner a few weeks after it started, though that was probably down to the slow pace of the webteam! And the same principle still applies to Charles Hazlewood's show (which IS under the Jazz heading! - and 'experimental', whatever that means) Look at this week's playlist and, even though it's a great show (perhaps the word is eclectic), it's not a jazz-genre specific show!

Erm I wasn't being argumentative. Very Happy I'm in agreement with you.
