|Sarah Kennedy has been running a series on comic or oddly appropriate names, eg the Police Constable called Nick Moor.
Many of these have come from the correspondence page of the Daily Telegraph.
One that I didn't hear her mention was the firm of solicitors in Leamington Spa called Wright Hassall.
I've encountered a few of these in my time.
My parents used to do business with an insurance agent called Mr Fidler.
When I started work in the NHS, my first hospital had a catering manager called Mr Kitchin and a Nurse Nurse.
Moving on, I encountered a pair of Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons called Curry and Rice and two geriatricians called Thompson and Thomson. Inevitably their domain became known as Herge's Adventures in Geriatrics.
Can you add to the list?
