Did anyone see "The Story of Light Entertainment- Radio Stars" on BBC2 on Christmas eve?
I thought the prog was very interesting. But it highlighted Chris Evans during his crash & bust when he was very OTT, but did not mention his comeback on Radio 2.
I disliked the Chris Evans of that period. But I think in the intervening years he has matured, & his shows on Radio 2 are pretty good.
The story of Simon Dee was interesting, too
Any other comments on the show? |

I saw it first time around last summer. It could have been a much better programme than the one they made. Evans was an ass**** around that time but they didnt follow up on his rehabilitation because it made batter tv to do an axe job on him and get Terry Christian, who obviously is either hard up for cash, or has an axe to grind to spout off. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
