At any given point in time they will always have open tickets for customers, so how can they decide when is the best time to shut up shop?
Its a fact of life & there will be plenty more doing the same in the next few months.

I'd suggest it's the bank which decides to stop operations.. customers or no customers.
I do think there should be an obligation to honour "live" passengers flights however, not just leave them standing in limbo. It's not fair.
