Today's obituary in the Telegraph quotes PW as commenting on the un-Hollywood-like durability of his 50-year marriage to Joanne Woodward by saying "why fool around with hamburgers when you have steak at home?"
Not the most romantic way he could have put it but good for them, nonetheless.

| It was sad to hear Paul passing away. I bet we will see a few films on TV. Butch Cassidy have to be one of them. |

Cool Hand Luke is one of my favourite all time films-truly brilliant.
Paul Newman was simply an all time great- he will be sadly missed. |
