Don't forget Sir Terry Wogan is usually in his own spot on Christmas day itself.

I can't see the main presenters working over Xmas and New Year period? It would be funny if Sarah, Terry and Steve were forced to work? Laughing

I'm hoping Richard Allinson gets plenty of work on Radio 2 over the Xmas/New Year period.

I would have thought he'd prefer to spend a bit of time with his family, although admittedly he gets an awful lot of spare time anyway

I'm sure we'll all find out in good time anyway. It doesn't really need someone to keep anally posting schedules up on a forum. I doubt I'll be listening anyway. Probably just spending time with Mrs McC, my family and my inlaws........

Lots of Alex! yay! Well... yay for us, I wouldn't like to work all over the holidays....

It's not real work though is it?

Well it's not like working in a salt mine, no, but you still have to get up early when everyone else is sleeping-off a bottle of Vodka.

I see Bob Harris is doing Drivetime in the week between Xmas & New Year
I enjoyed these shows last year
I understand the BBC bosses have asked Bob if he can shout like Chris

That should be interesting

I saw Wogan is covering the second week not New Years Day. I wonder who is covering The Late Show?Liza Tarbuck and Martin Freeman on the Two Saturdays should be interesting. Also Aled and Melanie Sykes should also be good for Steve.

I wonder why JV on and Afternoons are filled with concerts the second week? I thought they need traffic reports or will they be on the hour?

The credit crisis must be hitting Wogan Towers if he is working over the holidays.

It's not a holiday fortnight Mark! News happens between Christmas and New Year as well.

In any case I like a bit of normality to the day!

It's strange that Jeremy is on over the festive period and not the Concerts. The space between 2-5pm could have been filled with a show.

I'm sure I've already answered this one for you Mark Confused . It's not strange really as the days he is on are not public holidays and contrary to what some people think Christmas doesn't last a fortnight! Jeremy is obviously not having holiday either.

I, and am sure others, welcome a bit of normality to the schedule and the world and disasters don't stop just because it's Christmas.

Don't know if you remember when the Tsunami occurred? Well I remember people were up in arms because a programme of recorded highlights of the year in news was on and of course no mention of it, until an announcer comfirmed that the show had been pre recorded.

Seems you can't do right from wrong but personally I'm pleased the show is on.

The concerts are better in the afternoon than at lunchtime anyway!

It does seem a few are not taking holidays as Terry is on after Christmas. Alex took his Holiday a week ago and looks set to stay on until 7.30am whilst Sarah is away. I guess the BBC needs less celebrity and more professional presenters. Yes Helen, you are right News doesn't stop because it's Christmas.

How come it's supposed to be bad luck to still have your Christmas decorations up after the 12th night, yet you can seemingly put them as early as you like beforehand and not worry?
