I heard the other day that we'll soon be able to get the features of iPlay via DVB-T (Freeview) and DVB-S (Freesat) soon, which will be a great way of accessing archived content for viewing on TV and out to audio systems. I'm not sure how good the Flash video format is going to look on some people's large LCD (etc) displays, but the principle's a good one all the same.
After a bit more digging, I discoverd that the BBC first unveiled proposals to do this back in October last, but now it's been given the go-ahead I'm glad to say.
