There is an interesting article in The Independent today about the days of pirate radio with a starring role (OK, a contribution) from Johnnie Walker.

All this stuff is the result of heavy PR in support of the new film "The Boat That Rocked" - a film which looks decidedly naff to me. Still, the exterior shots on the radio ship itself were shot on the Radio Caroline ship, the MV Ross Revenge.

I've long thought a film which is rooted in the pirate era would make some great drama, but I don't this is it somehow. It will sink pretty quickly and be on DVD within a couple of months I reckon.
