US President Barack Obama has arrived in the UK. Air Force One arrived just before 8pm ( Tuesday ). 500 staff, Marine One, other helicopters and Cadillac One named, The Beast . Alistair Darling and his wife who traveled to Stansted by train were there to greet the President and his wife.
It's been reported that the US presidents helicopters are to be replaced, but Obama has made it clear that he doesn't want to spend to much, as he's not had an helicopter before.
He will be staying at the US ambassadors residents Winfield House' for the next few days.
I think people are excited with his trip, as his ratings is still really high. |

With such high ratings he'll surely be in line to take over El Tel's job on Breakfast, for sure. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

There was a bright moment at 8.00am this morning on Breakfast TV, when, with the cameras focussed on the American Ambassador's residence, a whole host of talking heads were waffling on interminably as to why the President and his wife were well over 15 minutes late in leaving.
Then suddenly, cut to Downing St where the presidential cavalcade was arriving..... guess someone snuck out the back way. _________________ Minx

It's always good for a laugh when the News people are waffling over a picture of nothing when they're awaiting an event. Why do they bother? _________________ MiS |

Did Mr Obama have a visa to visit Istanbul? How long did he wait in Immigration to enter? Where was his wife? Can I now get in to that airport(and out ) as quickly as him?

He probably just bunged the immigration bloke the Turkish equivalent of a tenner like the rest of us have to.
