Yesterday one of the first songs I heard him play was this one .....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt8ZOws4OyA
which I had to look up on the website as I didn't catch the title .....and wouldn't have known what it was otherwise...does anyone know was it a hit? |
I just looked it up in Collins Complete UK Hit Singles and it got to No 22 in April / May 1969. | Brian played this on SOTS the other week. Lord Evan Elpuss wrote: | Blimey, I was the last to reply to this thread, . |
I know time flies but it is unbelievable that it is over 4 years since this thread was active..it seems like just the other week!! |

I didn't realise the time gap at first Becky but enjoyed re reading it.
One of your posts mentioned Jefferson's Colour Of My Love (I still love the song), well Ken ended his show with it one day last week and JV commented that the whole of his team had said 'what a great track' as he took over!

I was trying to think what track was being discussed towards the end of those old 2010 messages, especially as that original You Tube link is now dead. I was guessing that it might have been 'Colour Of My Love' by Jefferson. Here's a link for that track that does work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPgP4BhwQmA
And, yes, time certainly does fly. In a few weeks time, it will have been 10 years since Helen said that radio 2 strap line live on Jeremy Vine's programme! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
