What a plonker-a man in a key sensitive role running around with confidential papers under his arm-as an earlier poster stated, has he never heard of a briefcase.

Still he now has plenty of spare time on his hands.

Do you think we can expect to see the return of Fabian of the Yard? I think there's every possibility. Or, failing that, what about Maigret coming in and strutting his stuff.

It's easy to criticise Mr Quick for one or two admittedly high profile mistakes. But a good number of people must literally owe to him the fact that they're still alive and not recovering from terrible injuries.
