Liz Kershaw is leaving the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Breakfast Show at the end of this week after four full time years at the station.

The Coventry Telegraph claims the presenter will be hosting a new Sunday morning show, with a story ahead of any due announcement. Clive Eakin and Paul Marriott will cover the show until the appointment of a "local" personality, the newspaper says.

David Clargo, managing editor of BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, told the newspaper: “Liz Kershaw leaves the breakfast show this week and will be starting a brand new Sunday morning show from September 6."

The Lancashire broadcaster starter her radio career at Radio Aire in Leeds, before joining the BBC and eventually Radio 1 where she presented the evening show, and co-hosted the weekend breakfast show with Bruno Brooks.

Liz joined BBC Coventry and Warwickshire in 2005 and can still be heard on BBC 6 Music each Saturday lunctime. Her last breakfast show will be this Friday, 17th July, something Liz was talking openly about on her Monday morning show.
