The Met Office has revised their Summer weather forecast. Remember a few months ago they said we will have blazing sunshine apparently they never said so.. So it's going to be above average rainfall and some sunshine. Blow those people during the credit crunch who have booked holidays in the UK.

Thankyou kindly. My last holiday was 3 weeks ago and it was a scorcher all week! Very nice... Can't wait for September, in fact. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Why, have you arranged for some nice weather then? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

The conspiracy theorist in me is wondering if “ The Barbeque Summer” was all just a big Government scam to get people to book holidays in the UK this year, to help with the economy. |

I think it's the weather just thumbing it's nose again at the weathermen and other climate change doom-sayers who have been predicting record hot scorching summers for the last few years. What have they all been like? Yes, the one we're in the middle of now!! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Yep. About 1,500 miles south!

You can't predict the unpredictable.
Weather is fascinating to watch and read about in the past, but, beyond the next seven days, you have just as much chance of being right by looking into a crystal ball as all the boffins and their computer programs at Bracknell (or wherever it is these days).
They certainly didn't predict the tornado in Stornoway, did they?
