I wouldn't condone such acts of vandalism, Mark. perhaps he should just pull out the plug on the end of the headphone cable instead!

Is it another yearly interview which he didn't say anything of the sort? The words were just added to make it look good? Just like the interview he said he didn't realise he was being paid for hosting Children In Need.  Maybe he should have changed his accountant. |

Just says he'll go before he's pushed, and his family will let him know when time is right. Not a terribly revealing article, but he'll be sad when the time comes. So will we.

| I can't find the article, but seems the same old. I can't see how he will know when he will be pushed out? Unless they give him a hint. At the end of the day Wogan can't last forever and sooner or later will have to give up, and will want to. |

David Jacobs, Desmond Carrington and Brian Matthew are all still going strong at over 80, and the network is the better for their presence, so we could well have Sir Tel around somewhere on R2 for many years to come.
Re the weekday slot, I would prefer reorganisation of the day to straight replacement. See my posting of today's date on the Shows page.

According the Mail on Sunday, Digital Spy and Radio Today - he's going in March 2010. They have already got someone lined up and the new schedules will be released in Decemeber.
We know Chris Evans has always been favourite with Simon Mayo taking over drivetime. We also know station is bringing a lot more female broadcasters to the station. Zoe Ball is due to give birth in the next 7 Months in time for her to take over Breakfast if she was considered. Johnnie Walker would be a great replacement and has proved so popular on Breakfast doing different stuff and not the same emails from the same old. As I said before, Wogan can't last forever, and I'm sure he will leave before he's pushed. I would think the BBC are looking for a replacement all the time, because he could leave at any moment? I think if he did leave then the person would be temporary. Richard Allinson or Johnnie Walker? I would think someone else from outside would be good? Neil Fox, Neil Francis, Johnny Vaughan, Or Christian O' Connell? Maybe they could pair up a male and female? It's a guessing game and some media outlet, etc is always trying to retire him. |

| Walker is under the generation for Wogans listeners. So if Wogan left they maybe ditch Walker on Breakfast for a younger cover person when they are off? We have to wait and see when it happens. |

Bollox It isn't even on their website, the 'story' was probably never even published.

"And before you start with the 'fair play old boy, there's more to it than that', I was a radio and TV newsreader and there isn't."
The book will be published on 9 September. |
