Once the booming cafe at the side of the road, but Little chef is losing £3 million a year and could be taken over in a matter of days.

I suppose if the prices were cheaper, then they may not be losing money?

Stay off the mushrooms on the one along the A12 north of Ipswich - a mate of mine burnt his mouth on them there once (mind you, he was warned by the waitress that they were 'hot' but didn't think they would be like eating fire-crackers)!

I always thought that the Little Choffs were over-priced, but then again, I was always happy to use the cheaper 'choke-and-puke' stops.... some of the best breakfasts I've ever had have been in roadside diners. Smile

Yes, Little Chef sold off the land their restaurants are on - and the new Landlords promptly put up the rent! So any problems are their own stupid fault.

Plus the food is over-priced and every extra little item costs an extra little bit. Compared to Wetherspoons (or other family pubs) and, say, McDonalds it's a complete rip-off.
